PLOT:
Diana and officer Mike Schorr (we learn his name this issue) arrive at the ruins of Paradise Island through a portal from Apokolips. Diana vaguely explains to Mike her origins. No time is wasted as Diana unleashes her fury on the trespassers while Darkseid uses Schorr as a bargaining chip. Just as it looks like the princess has no choice but to give in to Darkseid's demands the Amazons of Themyscira challenge him. A war develops, one which doesn't look too promising for the brave Amazons ...
